What is TCM?
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is a holistic medical system that has been practiced for over 4,000 years. It aims to promote harmony between the body, mind, and soul.
TCM incorporates a variety of methods, including acupuncture, herbal medicine, acupressure, Tuina massages, movement practices like Qi Gong and Tai Chi, as well as techniques such as cupping, Gua Sha, and moxibustion. This system is complemented by dietary recommendations based on the principles of the five elements.

Each treatment follows a structured 4-step plan that is specifically tailored to your needs.
1 | Pre-Consultation
What do you need? How can I support you? We will discuss your overall condition, explore a potential TCM diagnosis, and establish a therapy plan to address your discomforts and measure your progress.
2 | Qi Gong
We will briefly perform some Qi Gong exercises together. Qi Gong is a TCM therapy used here with the primary goal of preparing the body for the Acupressure-Tuina massage.
3 | Acupressure
The Acupressure-Tuina massage is a TCM therapy. It stimulates the body's energy to enhance self-healing. The massage is performed on a comfortable bed with a cloth, and can also be done while seated.
4 | Post-Consultation
What did you feel? What has changed? We will each provide feedback. I will offer possible recommendations and acupressure exercises for you to do at home.

Frequent questions asked
-
TCM is based on the concept of life energy (Qi) flowing through meridians in the body. Through acupressure and other techniques, blockages are released and balance is restored in the body.
-
The frequency of sessions depends on your individual needs. For general well-being and stress management, I usually recommend one session per month. For specific or chronic issues, a short series of sessions every two weeks or even weekly may be advisable. However, this can be tailored to your needs and will be discussed during a personal consultation.
-
A session begins with a short consultation, followed by Qi Gong exercises to prepare. The acupressure Tuina massage is then performed on a massage table over a cloth. The session ends with a brief follow-up discussion.
-
Please wear comfortable, soft clothing that you feel good in. The massage is performed on top of a textile. Oil may be used on the neck area if needed. You are also welcome to change clothes at the location if you prefer.
